Voussoir
A voussoir is one wedge-stone of an arch. This began as a single playable arch and grew, wholly, into a game: ten chapters that carry one honest idea from a stone to a cathedral.
Every structure here stands or falls by a real line-of-thrust computation — never a scripted verdict. You lose when you misread the load, and you lose for the right reason: the thrust left the stone. Across the campaign the same honest physics grows a new failure each time — an arch hinges, a joint slides, a buttress overturns, a dome cracks into orange-segment lunes at the golden-ratio angle, and at last a whole Gothic bay must walk its thrust from the nave across a flying buttress and a pinnacle-weighted pier all the way to the ground.
It is a doctrine made into statics: a thing holds only when nothing carries more than it can and the thrust comes home. The physics is the identity — validated against the classical results (Heyman's arch, the dome's 51.8° hoop-crack), honest about its limits (a teaching model, not a research tool), never faked. That honesty is the whole point.
