Every letter the town has ever delivered, sounded in the order it was sent. Each household is a bell; the founders ring lowest, and newcomers higher — until the frame's twenty bells are all hung, and the town, still arriving, begins to double onto them: the sound of a town outgrowing its carillon. A bounce is the only dissonance.
